The Pinson "Pride of the Valley"

Saturday, October 29th, the Marching Spartan Band will participate in our final competition of the 2005 season. The Pinson Valley "Pride of the Valley" Marching Festival is the culmination of the band students' tremendous efforts this season.
We will gather in full uniform (band shirts underneath) at PGHS at 1:30 PM and at 2:00 PM we will depart by bus for Pinson. All students must ride the bus, you can not "meet us there." We will arrive at the event to unload no later than 3:00 PM. We will not enter the stadium or observe any bands until after our performance
All students are required to attend the event at the same time and must remain at the event until the conclusion of the awards ceremony.
Concessions will be available at the invitational and students should bring money for this food. For a list of the concessions, as well as prices, click here.
Bus drivers and equipment drivers will receive gate passes and a meal ticket for the concession stands. Parking is available in the school lots for $5.00. Admission for adults is $5.00 and children 6 and under get in free.
After our performance, the band will change, eat supper, and meet in the stands at 6:30 PM to view the final classes of band performances. Drum Majors, Section Leaders, and Captains will dress at 7:30 PM to accept the awards on-field. No other students should enter the field for the awards ceremony.
We should return to Pleasant Grove between 10:00 and 10:30 PM.
